It's been a year since the last 'Paperjam Presents Culture Night' and this year we were determined to do something else really interesting. In dark bars across Belfast plans were plotted and schemes were sketched, all under the banner of promoting Belfast as a city rich with cultural diversity.
Through clothing label, BAGofBEES, we commissioned three professional street artists to paint during the course of the night. The Spoom Collective descended on Cotton Court just when the September sun was setting, bristling with ideas and sporting bags of paint. What the Spoom artists didn't know was that on the other side of their pieces the public were being encouraged to create their own masterpiece with the promise of a free tshirt for every participant removing any stage-fright.
By the end of the night, 4000 people had passed through our courtyard and both walls were completely covered. To have a look at some photos from the night visit our flickr set here, and please take some time to follow @bagofbees on twitter to keep informed for the inevitable sequel.
See you next year.
